Ignasius Jonan, President Commissioner of PT Anabatic Technologies Tbk received a token of appreciation from the Vatican on Wednesday, 15 November 2023. The award ceremony was part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ pontificate. Located at the Apostolic Nunciature (Vatican Embassy) in Jakarta, he received the honor directly from the Apostolic Nuncio (Vatican Ambassador) Archbishop Piero Pioppo, who represented Pope Francis.

That day, the Vatican honored three people, one of whom was Ignatius Jonan. All three individuals are prominent figures from Indonesia who have devoted their lives to serving God and others, serving as an example for many people. Ignasius Jonan received Knight Commander of the Order of St. Gregory. This title is an honor obtained thanks to contributions to state development and dedication to people in need.

Present on the same occasion were Budi Arie Setiadi, Minister of Communication and Information Technology representing the Indonesian government, several Ambassadors or representatives of other countries and the families of the honored recipients.

“I am grateful that this award is my fourth state decoration after The Order of the Rising Gold and Silver Star from the Emperor of Japan in 2022, Bintang Mahaputera Utama from the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020 and Chevalier Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur from the President of the Republic of France in 2016,” said Ignasius Jonan.
