PT Anabatic Technologies Tbk (IDX: ATIC) recognizes the importance of improving the quality of education to help enhance the quality of human resources and contribute to building a better future for the next generation. To achieve this, strengthening literacy has become one of the key aspects.
As part of this commitment, Anabatic Technologies continues to support education through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Anabatic Berbagi Ilmu, by introducing Zona Literasi in schools with limited access to books and library facilities.
Through this initiative, Anabatic Technologies provides reading books tailored to students’ age groups while also supporting the improvement of literacy spaces to encourage children’s interest in reading from an early age.
This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities, and Partnerships for the Goals.
One of the schools participating in the program is SDN Kadusirung II. Teachers at the school shared that the program has created a positive impact on students’ enthusiasm for reading.
“With the support from Anabatic, the children have become more enthusiastic about reading. Earlier, I also saw how excited they were to read books in the library. We would like to thank Anabatic on behalf of our school,” said Hikmatul Mukaromah, first-grade teacher at SDN Kadusirung II.
Previously, the school faced limitations in maintaining its library facilities, including damaged bookshelves and unorganized reading materials. The support provided through Zona Literasi has encouraged teachers and students to revitalize the library space and improve the reading environment for students. SDN Kadusirung II currently has around 170 students from grades 1 to 6, including approximately 100 students in grades 1 to 3.
The initiative was also welcomed positively by SDN Legok I. According to Suci Darmayanti, a third-grade teacher, literacy activities are essential in helping children develop curiosity and broaden their perspectives.
“This initiative is very meaningful for us as teachers because it strongly supports literacy activities for students. Children at this age are exploring and discovering their identities, and they have a strong sense of curiosity. We hope this literacy program can further increase students’ interest in reading and expand their knowledge,” she said.
The school had previously implemented a 15-minute reading activity before class, although the practice declined during the pandemic period. After the pandemic, the school gradually revived the habit, and support from Anabatic Technologies has helped provide additional reading materials and facilities to strengthen the literacy culture among students. SDN Legok I currently has approximately 400 students from grades 1 to 6.
To ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the program, Anabatic Technologies also conducts regular monitoring and evaluation through each school’s designated PIC (Person in Charge). In addition, onsite visits to the Zona Literasi are carried out every six months to review the development of literacy activities, assess the condition of the facilities, and gather feedback from teachers and students.
Through this ongoing evaluation process, the company aims to ensure that the program continues to create meaningful impact and encourage a sustainable reading culture among students.
Camelia Suryana Bong, Head of Corporate Secretary of PT Anabatic Technologies Tbk, explained that the Zona Literasi program reflects the company’s focus on supporting children’s education and future development.
“Literacy is the ability to read, write, and count. Through this program, Anabatic distributes reading books suitable for children according to their age groups to support literacy activities in schools. Children are future leaders, and we want to ensure they can grow, develop, stay healthy, and become knowledgeable. Books are windows to the world, so we hope children continue to dream big and develop a love for reading,” she said.
Through this initiative, the company hopes to help foster a sustainable reading culture while creating wider access to literacy resources for children in Indonesia.
