Anabatic Technologies held a workshop titled “The A-Z of the Recruitment Process” on September 14, 2024, at the Faculty of Computer Engineering & Electrical Engineering, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN). The event took place in the Sapura Room, Building C of UMN, and was attended by 30 fifth-semester students from the faculty.
The workshop aimed to provide in-depth insights into the recruitment process at companies, helping students understand the stages of selection commonly encountered and preparing them to face challenges in the professional world. This event served as a positive step for students to gain valuable information regarding the working world, especially in the information technology industry.
The event began with a short video about Anabatic Technologies, followed by a presentation by Novy Lim, Manager of Talent Acquisition, Engagement & Employer Branding at Anabatic Technologies, on the A-Z of the recruitment process. Novy thoroughly explained the recruitment stages, from CV preparation and interviews to the final steps needed for success in the selection process. The participants were highly enthusiastic, with many asking questions to gain deeper insights into the recruitment processes they often encounter in the job market.
“The participants showed great enthusiasm in preparing for their careers, whether for internships or post-graduation employment from UMN,” said Novy.
In addition to gaining knowledge about the recruitment process, participants brought their CVs for a CV review session, where they received direct feedback on the optimal format and content. Many of the participants were able to grasp key points in crafting an effective CV.
Rifky, one of the UMN students who participated in the workshop, found the session extremely helpful.
“This workshop was very beneficial, especially the tips and tricks presented. I now have a better understanding of how to structure my CV properly and how to prepare myself for interviews,” said Rifky.
Through this workshop, it is hoped that students can recognise their strengths and weaknesses, set career goals, and conduct thorough research related to the desired positions to better navigate the recruitment process and explore career opportunities in the information technology industry.
